NB Knife Sharpening

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of knife sharpening and blade services provided by NB Knife Sharpening, a sole proprietorship operated by Greg Thibodeaux in New Braunfels, TX (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting or receiving our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services Provided

NB Knife Sharpening provides professional sharpening and edge restoration for the following:

  • Kitchen knives (all sizes)
  • Pocket and hunting knives
  • Kitchen and sewing scissors
  • Garden tools and other blades (contact us for a quote)

We do not sharpen or service the following items under any circumstances:

  • Hair shears, barber scissors, or clippers
  • Animal grooming tools
  • Flat blades, chisels, or carpentry tools
  • Any blade that poses an unreasonable safety risk to handle

If you are unsure whether your item qualifies, contact us before submitting a request. We reserve the right to decline any item at our discretion.

3. Pricing and Minimum Order

Current pricing is listed on our website at nbknifesharpening.com. All prices are subject to change without notice. The price displayed at the time of your service request is the price that applies to your order.

A minimum order of $20 applies to all service requests. Orders that do not meet the minimum will be declined or held until additional items are added.

For tools and non-standard blades, pricing is provided as a quote before work begins. You are not obligated to proceed after receiving a quote.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon delivery of your sharpened items. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Personal check
  • Venmo
  • PayPal
  • Zelle

We do not accept credit or debit cards. Payment must be received before items are returned. We reserve the right to hold items until payment is confirmed.

5. Pickup and Delivery

We offer free pickup and delivery within New Braunfels, TX. Scheduling is coordinated directly with Greg via phone, text, or the contact form at nbknifesharpening.com.

You are responsible for ensuring your items are ready for pickup at the agreed time. Items should be wrapped safely — a kitchen towel roll or original packaging works well. Please do not hand over loose, unsheathed blades.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including weather, traffic, or scheduling conflicts. We will communicate any delays promptly.

6. Turnaround Time

Our standard turnaround is same-day service, typically within 2 hours of pickup. This is our goal, not a guarantee. Turnaround time may vary depending on order volume, item complexity, or other factors.

If same-day completion is not possible for your order, we will notify you before pickup so you can decide whether to proceed.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you are not satisfied with the sharpening result, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will redo the work at no charge.

The redo guarantee applies to the quality of the edge we put on your blade. It does not apply to pre-existing damage, blade geometry limitations, or items that have been used, damaged, or modified after delivery.

8. Liability for Items in Our Care

We take great care with every item entrusted to us. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged or lost while in our possession, we will replace it at fair market value, based on the item’s age, condition, and current replacement cost.

To establish fair market value, we may request documentation such as purchase receipts or comparable listings. Our liability is limited to the fair market value of the item and does not extend to sentimental value, consequential losses, or any other damages.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or defects present at the time of pickup. If we identify a concern with an item before beginning work, we will notify you.

9. Unclaimed Items

If your items are not claimed or arrangements are not made within 30 days of completed service and reasonable attempts to contact you have been unsuccessful, we reserve the right to dispose of the items at our discretion. We will make at least two contact attempts before taking any action.

10. Website and Contact Form

Use of our website at nbknifesharpening.com is provided as-is. Submitting a contact form or service request does not constitute a binding contract until we confirm acceptance of your request.

We are not responsible for delays or failures in receiving form submissions due to technical issues. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please follow up by phone or text at 830-708-2606.

11. SMS Communications

By checking the SMS consent checkbox on our contact form, you agree to receive text messages from NB Knife Sharpening related to your service request and future sharpening reminders. 12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from our services will be handled in Guadalupe County, TX.
